The Good Egg Movement
The Good Egg Movement is a simple yet powerful initiative to counter division and foster connection through small, intentional acts of recognition. By recognizing just one other person with a "Good Egg" card—a tangible token of "seeing another"—you can amplify kindness, one person at a time.
PS - We aren't currently an organization. We don't collect or maintain resources. This is simply for anyone and everyone interested in this idea. It's freely given. Make it your own!
How Does It Work?
- Carry a few Good Egg Cards with you (purse, wallet, etc).
- When you witness something—a kind word, an act, or attention given that warms your heart and moves you—walk up and let that person know. Just mention in your own way that you've been carrying something for just such a moment. Hand them a card and thank them for making the world a little bit better.
- That's it! No agenda. No other expectations.
It's just us! We're all we need.

Modern society often prioritizes vertical connections, where judgment, hierarchy, and competitive, adversarial instincts prevail. In contrast, the Good Egg Movement aims to revitalize horizontal connections, where mutual respect and shared appreciation are paramount. Ultimately, democracies can only flourish when we regard each other as equals rather than adversaries.
Who Leads the Way?
You do! But this can be awkward because of social norms. So, you might want to team up with a buddy to take on the challenge together. Maybe the two of you can create something unique with the same intention to rekindle getting to know one another - citizen to citizen - across all differences and uniquenesses. It can be great fun, so share this experience with another partner and see what happens!
